Welcome to Lovely Commotion!

Are you a hard-workingdedicated, and overwhelmed preschool teacher?  Do you love helping children learn, but sometimes find it difficult to plan and organize your day?  Do you ever feel defeated by the amount of 'stuff' on your teaching to-do list?

Is preschool planning and prep taking over your weekends? When is the last time you went to see a movie, hung out with friends or relaxed for a whole Saturday?

I hear ya.  Teaching is hard.  Crazy rewarding... and quite a challenge.  To say teaching isn't for the faint of heart is an understatement!

You need some time-saving, quality, no-fluff resources....ASAP!

This is where I come in...

I'm Ashley Rives of Lovely Commotion.  I love helping teachers be the best they can and give their students the best.  That's why I create 'teacher tested' resources that you can trust for quality and ease of use. These resources help you save time planning and give you back your weekends!

>>Let me be your guide to all things early learning<<

My goal is for you to feel organized, ready and confident for your day without spending your whole life doing it.  No social life = no bueno.

Through my Teachers Pay Teacher Store and signature courses, I give teachers the tools they need to plan, create and implement the ins and outs of a day in preschool.

I hope you will come along for the ride!

Start here by getting the Preschool Playbook in your inbox bi-monthly.

You don't want to miss out on getting free 'ready to implement' resources right in your inbox, do you?

Want to know a little bit more about me?

We are a family of 4 living in Kansas City, Missouri and enjoying a suburbs lifestyle.  My husband and I have a daughter (born in 2008) and a son (born in 2011). We love Disney and vacations!

I have knew I wanted to be a teacher since I was a little girl.  When I was 8 I was teaching the neighbor kids out of my "classroom" in the playroom.  Early Education in particular has become my passion.  I started out teaching first grade in a public school system.  I then decided to be home with our first child and became a parent educator for the Parents as Teachers program.  Since then, I have been teaching preschool.  Currently, I am teaching Pre-K in a Christian-based preschool.

I believe in play-based learning, partnering with parents and assessing the whole child.

What is Lovely Commotion all about?

You know the commotion that happens in a room full of young, busy children  learning and playing?  It is those times when you see toddlers interacting, hear blocks clattering, smell the aroma of freshly baked playdough and crack a smile upon hearing happy little laughter.  That time to me is such a Lovely Commotion.
